The 2005 Fire Prevention Week was October 9 through 15. The Boyden Fire and Ambulance serviced hosted several tours of the fire station that week and the next two following weeks. We also hosted a Pancake and Sausage Supper on Saturday October 15.

The Boyden Pre-School kids had the chance to spray some water and have a ride in the ambulance. Sorry we do not have any pictures of that tour. The 2nd graders from Boyden-Hull Elementary school also had the chance to spray some water and see the different tools and equipment that is used by both the fire department and the ambulance. The kids received a ride around town on the fire trucks back to school.

On Monday October 17 some members went to the elementary school to talk to the kindergarteners. They were shown some of the equipment we have in our ambulance and what a firefighter looks like in their gear.

On Tuesday October 24 we tried a new home safety program with the Boyden-Hull 6th Graders. This was presented in cooperation with Demco and Farmers Coop Society. Each student received a home safety workbook, certificate of achievement and a t-shirt.

We had a great turnout for the supper on Saturday night and would like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting the Fire and Ambulance Team.
